"Louis XVI Walnut Inlaid Commode"
Sobriety and elegance are the qualities that characterize this three-drawer chest of drawers. It is entirely inlaid with fruit wood with a set of decorations of light wood fillets surrounding reserves in branched walnut, fluted uprights, an architectural principle typical of the Louis XVI style. The pleasant proportions of this chest of drawers are typical of Eastern furniture from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. These, combined with the tones of blond wood, will allow this pretty authentic piece to be integrated into a contemporary interior. Beautiful original brass pull handles, with neoclassical colonnaded temple decoration in the center of which sits a statue of putti. Period Late 18th - early 19th century.
