Brass Ewer - Italy, Circa 1600

EWER in brass and copper formerly silvered, almost cylindrical in shape with a short pedestal, sloping weir at the base and turbulent and scrolled handle. The throat is adorned with a thick stepped molding.
Height: 21.3cm.
ITALY (Florence?), late 16th or early 17th century.

An identical model is kept in the Treasury of Santa Maria de Novella in Florence
Peripheral consolidation at the base and small recovery at the pedestal.
Traces of old silvering
A very similar example was sold by the BERGÉ auction house assisted by the expert Laurence FLIGNY on June 1, 2017 at the Hôtel Drouot.
