"Reliquary Saint-ignatius & Saint-françois Xavier, 17th Century, Sterling Silver"
Extremely rare double reliquary-pendant in solid silver containing a relic of Saint-Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556) and a relic of Saint-François Xavier (1506-1552). One being the founding father of the Jesuit order, the other being one of his closest friends and co-founder of the same order and great missionary in India and Japan. A small gouache on paper of each of them contains each time a small relic. The pendant also contains a very pretty little gouache of the Blessed Virgin and the child Jesus. Everything is in immaculate condition. Inside are also two thin sheets of natural mica which protect the gouaches.
