Object description :

"Splendid Suite Of 12 Plates In Limoges Porcelain Emile Bourgeois Paris Decor Of Roses, Laurel And Blueberry"
For a spectacular "Grand Siècle" effect... In line with the famous "service with small vases and garlands" by the Comtesse du Barry, the decoration of which was created in 1771 by Jean Nicolas Lebel, flower painter at the Royal Manufacture of Sèvres, these magnificent plates rather in the Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette style are richly decorated with alternating roses and cornflowers framed by a laurel wreath. To complete the whole, on both sides a net in Sèvres blue of the most beautiful effect. The edge of the wing is painted in gold with a frieze of ears. The richness, the refinement of their decoration and their colors (blue, green, pink and gold rub shoulders with delicacy...), their freshness will make your table unique and beautiful. A round of flowers that will enchant you! 6 plates bear the stamp of the Maison "Gérard, Dufraisseix, Abbot", decorative manufacturer in Limoges as well as the red stamp of the famous distributor of earthenware, porcelain and crystal Le Grand Dépot Emile Bourgeois in Paris and Marseille (1862-1902), the 6 others the sole stamp of the decorator manufacturer. These old plates which have been used little, have remained exceptionally fresh and in very good condition, the colors have remained bright as in the photos; only a very slight wear of the golden fillet on the field is to be noted on some of them (hardly visible when the plate is placed). Period 1900. Diameter: 24.5 cm Weight: 5.3 kg for all 12 plates. 6 soup plates are also available. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
