Pair Of Armchairs A La Reine Louis XV Period In Carved Walnut, XVIIIth Century
Very nice pair of so-called Queen armchairs in carved walnut from the Louis XV period. Deep and lively carving of the woodwork with whiplash armrests, arched legs with flowers with connecting dice, belt and pediment of the backrest carved with flowers. Set pegged to small ankles. These armchairs are in very good house condition. They were reupholstered a few years ago in a very beautiful floral silky fabric. The upholstery was at that time changed by adopting springs and new straps with a horsehair seat. Some small re-gluing of wood. Louis XV period, mid 18th century around 1750.
