Louis XV Fireplace, Ca.1875
Rare and beautiful antique Louis XV style fireplace in delightful Bois Jourdan marble. Dating from the late 19th century. The shaped, double moulded shelf rests above a scrolled, panelled frieze, centered by a foliate, a-symmetrical shell. Scrolls also on both endblocks. The tappering, angled and panelled jambs are supported on sturdy footblocks. The Bois Jourdan is a rare marble, found in the north-west of France. This fireplace is in a perfect condition. Will be delivered with original old Carrara marble floortiles to make a frontfloor. We have also original terra-cotta foyer-tiles, great option if you wanna go for a real open fire. (Not the color-tiles, showen inside the fireplace, they are not original to this mantel.) Photo's are taken before dismantling, fireplace is cleaned now in my workshop. Worldwide shipping. Delivery in Europe can be done by Antique Fireplaces First: 'In House Delivery'.
