Officer's Sword - Louis XV - XVIII° - Colichemarde Blade

Superior officer's sword, Louis XV period, Louis XVI --- XVIII°. Bronze frame. Spherical pommel entirely chiseled and decorated with battle scenes including rider and soldier. Riveting button on the top. Joining bow without secondary branch bearing an animal head at one end at the height of the pommel and a badge located in the center of the joining bow. (see photos) Fuseau filigree with brass wire in perfect condition. Posterior quillon terminates in the head of a Leonine-type animal. Central escutcheon bearing badge on both sides and joining the two arches of the pas d'ane. Keyboard with bridges pierced up to date, chiselled and decorated with the head of a fantastic animal and flanked by sphinxes on the inner and outer face. Strong uncommon blade with 2 cutting edges of the type known as Colichemarde (in the period 1688 to 1755) or also named Franc-taupins (around the years 1724 -1755). Blade with 2 median gutters on both sides, ending before the tip. Blade bearing on the 1st third remains of engraving on both sides of a head of a Hussar or a gendarme (to be identified) and hardly legible inscription (see details on the photos - "lolu glo or clo") and remains of cabalistic signs .
