France 1st Empire (1804-1814), broadsword of a naval commissioner with a scabbard, 1st third of the 19th century. Silver brass frame with olive pommel chiselled with leaves and finely checkered blackened wooden rocket plates. Cruising with straight quillons ending in the shape of a heart decorated with small scales. The knot of the body stamped with a navy anchor in a cartridge on each side. Straight two-edged blade with lozenge section engraved with weapon trophies and floral motifs on the third with remains of blued and gilt. Marking on the heel of the supplier "ASB" in a cartridge. Black leather scabbard with two brass trims with olive button chape.
