Exceptional historical discovery probably English from the 16th century or earlier. Small messing box with enamel plate. On the plate a quote from Geoffrey Chaucer. There's no workman, whatever he be, That may both work well and hastily. In good condition, at the bottom some traces of glue probably stuck to something. 11.7 x 6.4cm
