Brass dish covered with cellular enamel (cloisonne). The decoration represents the mythical phoenix, Fenghuang, symbol of virtue and grace, as well as flowers, on both sides of the container.

Japan, Nagoya?, Edo, circa 1850.

Height 30.5 cm, height 5 cm.

Good state of conservation, loss of enamel on the left side of the container.
