Carved, gilded wooden barometer from the late Louis XV period (early Transition) Beautiful model, in height, decorated with palms and thermometer. The base is fluted, scrollwork, and antique vase. The upper part is crowned with a ribbon bow. Thermometer plate with its original decor. Fine round dial with period two-tone caligraphy (not retouched in good original condition) Parisian work from the second half of the 18th century (circa 1760-1770) Marked BASTIN (By BASTIN grande rue du faubourg St Antoine vis à vis la rue Traverse with blue cords) Mechanism restored to working order
