Debrecen Type Pipe With Very Nice Stem In Ebony, Mother Of Pearl And Tortoiseshell Datable Circa 1840/1850
Silver-mounted Debrecen-type meerschaum pipe (title mark and maker's mark).
Superb ebony stem decorated with mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell checkerboard with at the base a frieze of steel buttons inlaid with mother-of-pearl medallions. The upper part decorated with the same frieze surmounted by a mother-of-pearl washer in the shape of a rosette ending in the horn tip with an amber lollipop.
A silver cord attached to a silver ring (small hallmark) connects the two parts of the pipe.
In its original mahogany box.
