Objet De Curiosités: Master Shoe, Work Of The Compagnonnage Cordonnier (apprentice Shoemaker)

Rare object of mastery, work of journeyman. Master's shoe from the late 19th / early 20th century, in leather and its custom-made wooden shoe tree. The front work on the little knot is perfectly mastered and the tongue shows some very nice creative work. This miniature shoe therefore shows a fine mastery of workmanship with the added originality of the design of certain parts for the period.

Condition: very good given its age. There is an area of scuffing in the leather at the back. The same applies to the rear heel: a few scratches. THE PHOTOS SERVE AS A DESCRIPTION.

Period: late 19th / early 20th century. Circa 1900.
