Delightfully mysterious, the works of François Chemin, produced in Paris in 1947 are disturbingly curious. Both facetious and phantasmagorical, these are rich in inspiration between an 18th century libertine spirit and an exacerbated symbolism. With great inventiveness in line and references, our two compositions recall the world of opera in its Dionysian inspirations, between the theatricality of female bodies and dreamlike atmospheres.

The frames are also true masterpieces in themselves. Carefully made by the artist, these are wonderfully inspiring and accentuate the taste for splendor.
