Cast iron interior, for a fireplace, decorated with the 'Fleur de Lis', the ancient symbol of the French monarchy.  From mediaval castles to gand palaces, the Fleur de Lis was used liberally to adorn luxurious interiors.  From window panes to tapestries, ceiling mouldings, floortiles, woodcarvings, etc.            External dimensions: 140 cm x 86 cm. Interior dimensions: 90 cm x 63 cm. Origin: France. Ca. 1850.
