Biography:
Léon Eugène DAMBEZA 1865 /?
Landscape painter born in Paris on October 13, 1865. French School. He first worked with Jules Lefebvre and only devoted himself to landscapes when he got to know Harpignies. He began at the Salon of 1889 and since then has exhibited there regularly. We know of him apart from his landscapes, some history paintings. He worked in Spain, in the Belgian Ardennes and finally in Norway.
The Museum of Nemours preserves of him: Sunset on the Loire. He obtained an honorable mention in 1893. Third class medal in 1899. Bronze medal in 1900 and a second class medal in 1902. He appeared at the Salon of 1931.
