Workshop of Pierre RABON Late 17th century - Early 18th century Canvas dimensions: 67 x 55 cm Period carved gilt wood frame. Pierre RABON (1619 - 1684) is a French painter, member of the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture which he joined in 1660. He is renowned for having produced many equestrian portraits of the King, notably the Portrait of Louis XIV in horse preserved in the museum of the Charterhouse of Douai.
