Yan B. DYL - The Spanish Blondes (Lace).

Large original Art Deco stencil signed Yan B. DYL in the plate, taken from "Le Miracle du fil", faithfully reproduced by Daniel Jacomet.

Proof on Canson Montgolfier paper

Dimensions: Margins: approximately 425 x 307 mm. Subject: approximately 313 x 205 mm

Very good condition.

This stencil is taken from the portfolio "Le Miracle du fil", published by Simon KRA around 1927, sixteen sonnets by Henri de Régnier around lace from different countries, accompanied by 16 color plates by Yan B. Dyl, printed in 350 copies including 334 on Canson Montgolfier paper. We will attach the corresponding Régnier sonnet page to the stencil.

We found an incomplete album, which is why we are selling this plate separately, as a decorative print. Our ethics prohibit us from breaking works when they are complete to sell them by the board…

Yan Bernard Morel known as Yan Bernard Dyl (or Yan B. Dyl), born on June 18, 1887 and died in the Buchenwald camp on December 4, 1944 , is a French painter, landscaper, decorator and illustrator. A partly forgotten or misunderstood artist, Yan Bernard Dyl was close to the cubist painter Robert Delaunay and was one of the representatives of the Art Deco movement.
