In 1895, he took lessons from Emile Aldebert at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Marseille. In 1902, he entered the studio of Ernest Louis Barrias. He was a pupil of Jules Coutant between 1904 and 1913. His works appeared at the Salon des Artistes Français between 1910 and 1939. In 1923, he created the mascot for Mrs. Louis Renault's personal car. Gold medal in 1924. Hors concours and Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1932. Gold medal at the International Exhibition of 1937.
