Oil on wood panel, signed lower left. On the back of the painting one can read in French: "in memory of a charming evening, Cecil CP Lawson" Representation of a dinner and a ball in the middle of a park lit by lanterns. Very good state. Cecil CP Lawson (1880-1967) was born in London into a family of artists. He is the son of painter Cecil Gordon Lawson. He was active in Glasgow, London and Paris where he lived for a time. It is on display at the London National Army Museum of 'Soldiers Marching Past Ruined French Farm Buildings', as well as the National Maritime Museum, Glasgow University and Stourhead House. Dimensions at sight Width 35 cm Height 27 cm Dimensions with frame Width 43.5 cm Height 36 cm Lawson exhibits at the International Society of Artists, the Royal Academy and the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts.
