Eustache Pointu - Porcelain Biscuit Sèvres 18th Century
A hard paste porcelain biscuit statuette made by the Manufacture de Sèvres presenting actor Eustache Pointu. The latter was a famous figure of French comic theater of the eighteenth century.
Mark on the base "LR 13" attributed to Josse-François-Joseph Le Riche (1741-1812), pupil of Falconet, head of sculpture workshop from 1780 to 1801 at the then Royal Manufacture of Sèvres.
