Devotional Work In Embroidery Early XVIII S

Beautiful devotional work in cream satin embroidered with flowers in silk thread, and ornaments in gold and silver thread. The base is decorated with an urn with handles, from which escape foliage and flowers, containing the Sacred Heart, surmounted by a medallion in paper cut in canivet and painted with flowers with the text: "Don d' intelligence .f long-suffering" (indulgence in forgiving and tolerance). The whole is topped with a crowned canopy embroidered with blue silk and gold thread in an environment of silver crosses and sequins (one sequin is missing). Very good original condition, probably later patinated gilt frame, old glass. Frame: 29.5cm x 24.5cm. Embroidery: 26.5 x 21.5 cm. French work from the beginning of the 18th century.
