Henri Picard (1840-1890) Parisian bronzier According to the National Archives, the bronzier Henri Picard, founder and gilder, settled at 6, rue Jarente from 1831 to 1839 before settling at 10 rue de la Perle until 1864 He provided decorative objects for the small apartments of Napoleon III at the Louvre. He was known for the quality of his production of table pieces and mantelpieces, in particular the combination of gilded bronze and silvered bronze. An important pair of twelve-light candelabra by Picard is kept in the Louvre Museum.
