Painting By Victor Jean Baptiste Barthelemy Binet (1849-1924) "landscape In Spring"

Sumptuous Salon painting by Victor BINET representing an animated landscape of a picking flowers in the foreground with a beautiful perspective of the fields in the background, original oil on canvas in perfect condition, signed lower left and with its Salon d era . BINET devoted himself, after having been a painter of decorations, exclusively to landscapes all his career after having studied with Constant TROYON. He exhibited at the Salon des BeAUX ARTS from 1878, gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889: he was made an officer of the Legion of Honor in 1900. It is here, as in many of these paintings, a landscape representing the surroundings of Saint Aubin sur Quilleboeuf and probably the painting he sent to the Royzle Academy in London in 1886.
