Narcissus Bronze Antique XIXth
Superb and large 19th century bronze representing Narcissus. Model taken from the sculpture after the antique discovered in Pompeii in 1862 and preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Naples. It rests on a round base decorated at its base with a frieze of palmettes. Narcissus presented naked is of great finesse in carving and the whole has a magnificent brown-green patina. high quality work in excellent condition.
