Napoleon III Sideboard With Chinese Décor
Superb and elegant Napoleon III period sideboard. It rests on a spinning top base encircled by a liton ring. The front opens onto a door richly decorated with marquetry depicting Chinese scenes. The jambs are adorned with ormolu baguettes and bronze falls at the top. The upper crosspiece features a marquetry with flower rinses and a scene depicting a Chinese man on a boat. The entire piece is covered with veneer and bronze fillets and rods. The whole piece is topped with white Carrara marble. Quality workmanship in excellent condition, fully restored.
