"Hopi Kachina Doll" Beautiful old Hopi Kachina (Katsina) doll from Arizona in light and painted wood (missing in places for the paint, otherwise the wood is in good condition, height 32.5cm In Hopi comogony, the Kachina personifies a supernatural being, serving as an intermediary between humans and the world beyond. Each represents a dancer incarnating a specific spirit, intervening during ceremonies intended to make the rain fall. Their function is also didactic.
