The Goatherd By Fausto Giusto 1867-1941

Superb and large oil on canvas measuring 51cm x 97cm plus a period frame repainted 78cm x 124cm. The painting depicts a goatherd in the middle of her flock by the sea. The quality of this painting speaks for itself. Signed lower right: Chéri FAUSTO GIUSTO. Italian painter born in Naples in 1867, died in 1941. Little is known about this painter who left us some very beautiful paintings appreciated by collectors. Apparently, judging by his works, he traveled extensively in Europe and particularly spent a long time in Paris. He is listed in all the art price guides. The prices are quite high, by the way. There's an old restoration in the sky (see back) which I'm pointing out and which was very well done. The painting has been cleaned and is therefore in perfect condition.
