"Large Porcelain Vase From Paris - Manufacture De Schoelcher - Ep. Early 19th Century (circa 1815)"
PARIS - Rue du Fbg. SAINT DENIS Manufacture de SCHOELCHER RARE LARGE VASE Flattened oval shape, resting on a base supported by four claw feet. Lateral handles arising from a palmette and ending in scrolls. HARD porcelain With a red and gold background, polychrome still life decoration on each side in a rectangular reserve surrounded by large gold fillets worked in amatie. Frieze of acanthus leaves. Palmettes and rosettes applied on the base. Collar, handles, pedestal and lion's paws in gilding. Dimension(s): High. 30cm - Length. 21 - Width. 11.8 cm, Brand(s): NÉANT - This vase does not bear the mark of SCHOELCHER, but a vase of similar shape marked with the porcelain factory of SCHOELCHER is kept at the National Museum of Ceramics in Sèvres and is also reproduced in "CAHIERS de la CERAMIQUE et des ARTS du FEU" from the spring of 1957, pages 53 (see the last photo). Condition: PERFECT STATE, Period: CIRCA 1815 Observation(s): Minor signs of wear.
