Jean Dulac was born in Bourgoin in 1902, february 12. His father was photographer and the family leaved to Lyon in 1907.
He went to the Fine Arts School of Lyon (1915-1924) where he studied sculpture and he was a very good drawer : he won all the first prices of drawing. He continued his studies in Paris into Paul Landowski’s studio (1926-1931), a sculptor very well-known.
