Sem (georges Goursat) Album Called Maxim's, 25 Original Lithographs Including 6 Double Plates

SEM (Georges Goursat, said). Album N°12 called "Maxim's Album". Slnd (ca 1902), 25 in-plano plates (520 x 360 mm) gathered in a white cardboard album, white canvas spine, upper cover illustrated with an orange dot marked "SEM". Condition: Portfolio: Lack of closing laces, tear without loss at the bottom of the upper joint, small stains on the covers, corners and cuts slightly rubbed - Plates: small marginal tear and slight sunstroke and foxing on the front of plate 2 (Maxim's ), verso of plate 7 (Marthe Brandès) insolated, these two plates having been placed at the beginning and end of the portfolio for years and these insolations are due to the acidity of the cardboard inside this one, very nice copy by the way . NB: The numbers of the plates in red on the photos have been added by computer to help follow the list below, they are of course not present on the original plates... Rare and superb collection of 25 lithographic plates in colors, including 6 on double page (The albums having been cut up over time to be sold in sheets, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find complete copies). It is very difficult to know exactly the number of plates provided in each album, the albums presented for sale always being with a different number of plates and very often coming from different albums of the artist. The most precise and reliable source in our opinion is that of the sem-goursat.com site, which references for this album, 27 plates. There would therefore be 2 boards missing in our copy, namely boards N°25 (Marthe Brandès) and N°27 (Suzanne Derval), both of which are single boards.
