Louis - Émile Cana is a French sculptor , of Italian origin , born in 1845 and died in 1895 .
Pupil of Arson and like him particularly attracted by birds , he exhibited at the Salon , from 1863 to 1887 , works in wax and bronze such as " Quail and her babies " (1863) , " Partridge " (1869) , " Querelle of Pigeons " (1887) ...
Classically trained , he likes to magnify women in all their guises , from childhood to old age , from the delicate nude to the most elaborate regional costumes .
