Oil on canvas late 17th century, Flemish genre scene presenting an interior during the meal. In the foreground, the table is set. The blue velvet tablecloth is covered with a white tablecloth on which are placed pewter plates, fruit and a dish containing a poultry, round loaves, two knives and an ewer. In front of the table, a large glazed earthenware cup containing two ewers separates two hunting dogs on the right, showing interest while the cat on the left, seems frightened... In the center of the painting, a woman raises a purple curtain, watching for the arrival of the guests. While in the background, a man is cutting up a hare.
