This work represents Miss de Saint-Sauveur, the child seems to be about ten years old. This drawing bears the signature Chavagnes, 1881. The pitch pine frame is probably later. We are fastidious in describing the condition of the works we sell, we report rubbing and small freckles, damp spots in the margin, pieces of glass that get stuck inside, two tears top middle right corner, however the work remains in fair overall condition.
