Caraco In Indian Baton Rompu And Leg Sleeves - France Circa 1830 flag

Object description :

"Caraco In Indian Baton Rompu And Leg Sleeves - France Circa 1830"
Circa 1830 France or Provence Amazing caraco in Indian and ecru linen with interesting padding and ties allowing the rounded positioning of the skirt in the back and dating from the Romantic period. Obvious influence of Paris fashion for this popular camisole whose lining of the sleeves in hemp (or thick linen), allows the swelling in lamb. Beautiful Indian fashion in cotton printed with boxes with geometric patterns, called herringbone. V-cut in the back, gathered shoulders and front closure with period hooks (traces of rust). Changes possible at the same time. A fine example of adapting Paris fashion to a more popular social stratum! Clean washed piece, without holes or stains. Good general condition of color and conservation. Dimension: Equivalent size 10-12 years today. Height 35 cm, shoulders 37 cm, chest 70 cm, sleeves 72 cm, waist 58 cm.
