Finely watercoloured etching, signed and numbered in pencil. Copyrigth dated 1923 of "L'estampe moderne".

Born in Tours in 1869 Georges Grellet is a French painter, engraver and illustrator, student at the Beaux-arts de Paris, in 1890 he began to produce press drawings.

During the First World War, he executed many drawings of the front. Grellet produced lithographed advertising posters such as "Au Bon Marché" in 1900 and designed the character of "Doctor Valda" for the pastilles of the same name.

In the 1920s, he collaborated with "L'Estampe moderne" he produced many original etchings in color which depict elegant young women in a "Boudoir" style He was also an illustrator for literary works, notably for Balzac .
He died in 1959 in Paris.
