A vintage sommerso blue and purple art glass vase. Manufactured by Salviati & Co, Venice. Most likely designed by Lugiano Gaspari. The company label on the base is "salviati venezia". The vase was made in Murano around 1960.
In 1859, Antonio Salviati opened the glassworks Societa Anonima per Azioni Salviati & Co, which was later renamed Salviati & Co. In the 19th century, Salviai's products were mainly reproductions of glasses Roman, Alexandrian and Baroque. Salviati's glasses have been widely recognized at international exhibitions. In the 20th century, Salviati collaborated with many artists such as Antonio Da Ros, Luciano Gaspari, Sergio Asti, Somon Moore and others.
