Aquamanile In Pëwter (tin) - Haguenau (?), XVIII Th Century

AQUAMANILE (also called Washbasin, scoop or oscillating fountain) in lenticular pewter with a flared throat with two side outlets with stylized bird heads, fitted with a dangling wrought iron gallows complete with its bail.
Width: 31.6cm. Height at the throat: 11.5 cm.
ALSACE (Haguenau?), First half of the 18th century

Object in good condition, a local filling at the base, almost invisible on the outside, is however reported.
Usually in cast bronze or brass, this extremely rare pewter aquamanile is in all respects identical to another example bearing an Alsatian master's mark attributed to Johannes Andreas Reichmann master in Haguenau, sold for €3,100 on 06/12/2005 by Me Bisman in Rouen assisted by Jean-Claude Commenchal, expert,
