Pair of Louis 16 period walnut chairs, France, Region of Lyon, 18th century, with molded cabriolet backrest carved with knots and ribbon, as on the front belt resting on four fluted and rudenté legs also at the back, with corner rosettes. Small usual restorations, including two brackets under the back of a chair. Very beautiful upholstery on straps with Indian cotton "à la girafe" in very good condition (a small stain on a seat) Although not bearing its stamp, the use of walnut, the carving and the decorative patterns are typical of the production of seats by the Lyon carpenter Sebastien CARPENTIER (1733-1813) in Lyon - Received Master in 1770,  Very nice pair of side chairs with a beautiful walnut color and upholstered with an exotic and chic fabric.
