In 1915, Messrs Trouillot and Marque created a small earthenware factory in Montières, a district of Amiens. Mobilized on the front, they had to sell their company on April 2, 1917 to the industrialist Amiénois Borck. Désiré Borck entrusts Jean Barol, an experienced potter, with the artistic direction of the ceramic workshop. Former student of Clément Massier, one of the most famous ceramists of the late 19th century. Jean Barol has already founded his company in Cannes and produced from 1913 to 1927 under the name of the Bacs workshop with 3 collaborators.
