Dining Table By Danish Designer Kurt Ostervig
Artist: Kurt Ostervig (1912-1986)
Very fine oval dining table by Danish designer Kurt Ostervig (1912-1986) from the 1960s. Trained as a shipbuilder in Odense on the Danish island of Funen, Østervig's attachment to wood rather than wood steel led him to be employed as a furniture designer in the studio of E. Knudsen, among the greatest of the time. This rosewood table has a very beautiful architecture, it has two shutters which are articulated on the central part by wooden hinges. It is in perfect condition. DIMENSIONS: 1.94m long, 1.30m wide and 0.73m high. 0.73 m wide for the central part when the two flaps are folded down. Delivery on estimate.
