Undoubtedly, the Bidjar, remain the most resistant carpets! Persian Bidjar rug in wool from the Iranian highlands, hand knotted, 132 cm wide x 210 cm long, before 1950 in perfect condition.
The shaving of these wool carpets is so precise and clean that the material resembles silk giving the wool a beautiful shine. Not far from Sanandaj, the region of finely knotted Senneh rugs, is the small town of Bijar which, together with its surrounding villages, produces what are arguably the heaviest and toughest rugs in Persia.

Our model has a classic decoration with a pale blue and flowery hexagonal medallion also present on the Senneh, the field presents all in fresh and luminous nuances a very elaborate carpet of stylized flowers on a scarlet red background, the borders of midnight blue color finely knotted, are adorned with nuances, such as apricot, old rose, almond green and red. Kilim finish at both ends followed by fringes in very good condition, the thick velvet is particularly soft, the edges are impeccable.
