Magnificent six-leaf screen in lacquer on wood with polychrome decoration attributed to the Morand house. One side painted on a gold leaf background with lake and bird decoration recalls the famous Japanese Byobu screens. The other side on a black lacquer background adorned with gold painted bamboo. This screen is very versatile. Indeed each side presents a very different theme. The face with floral decorations can be used for a classic Asian theme. The other side is decorated with gold-painted bamboo, for a trendy 1970s decoration. Reinforced feet, protected by brass strapping. Beautiful black lacquer in good condition, some slight traces of use on the edges in the lower part without visible consequences. Painting of the lake scene very removed, in bright colors, of a beautiful sensitivity. The whole is capped by a cloud tree on the top of the 6 leaves giving a very realistic and lively movement to the whole. Dimensions: each sheet measures: 1.83 x 0.41 for a total length of 2.24 m
