From the 1960s, the company began its international expansion, which led it to become a reference company in the field of luxury ceramics. In 1965 Lladró exported part of its production to Canada and began to enter the United States. During the 1970s there was a significant increase in Lladró products in the North American market. Also in the mid-1970s, Lladró began selling its products in Japan.
