Large Louis XVI style secretaire in mahogany marquetry in frames of light wood and ebony fillets, rich ornamentation of very finely chiseled gilt bronze such as flower garlands, interlacing friezes and gadroons, braces and masks.
Mounted on a plinth, inspired by models from Riesener or Oeben, we find in this rare François Linke's creation all the elegance and sobriety of the Louis XVI style, enhanced here by mahogany and gilded bronze.
Exceptional work signed on the lock F. LINKE , we also find the Linke mark inside the lock and on the reverse of each bronze (see photos)
