Secretary With A Shower
Martin Ohneberg, received as a master in 1773, a drop-front secretary desk, veneered in stained wood, richly decorated with fleurons, crossbars, musical trophies, and vases of flowers. It opens with a drawer above a leather-lined drop front, revealing four niches and six drawers, also inlaid, and two doors. The uprights are canted and have simulated fluting. Stamped and JME. Louis XVI period. Aleppo breccia marble top. H. 143.5 x W. 90 x D. 36.5 cm.
