Georges Van der Straeten, a Belgian sculptor originally from Ghent, moved to Paris in 1883 and quickly acquired a great reputation thanks to his typically Belle Epoque Parisian sculptures.

Very good condition, nice patina, note a small original hollow to the left of the bust (see arrowed photo)

Bears a "Van der Straeten" signature on the left side.
