Lithophane Holder
Richly decorated wrought iron lithophane supporting frame. Circa 1850. The frame holdds a rectangular lithophany of 11x13cm format. The latter is backlit by a light source such as a candle. This lighting lets appear the positive of a hollowed out scene. Here, it is a child and his mother playing in a rural setting. Very nice object.
