"Important Quality Portrait Representing The Poet D. Stannus. 19th Century English School"

The hand work and details are very precise and bring a lot of life to this Victorian setting. The re-gilded frame is also of quality and supports this fine set The Very Reverend Dean Stannus (1788-1876) acted as agent for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Marquesses from 1817, and was an extremely powerful figure.
