"Portico With Eagles XVIIIème Era Louis XVI Robinet"
Rare and very beautiful clock from the Louis XVI period signed on the Robinet à Paris dial. Watchmaker referenced in the tardy, dictionary of French clocks. In bronze, mercury gilding with matt and shiny gold, main decoration of two magnificent large eagles arranged back to back carrying a basket of flowers on their heads.

Complex structure in bronze ornamented with a row of pearls holding a white marble cylinder housing the domed white enamel dial accompanied by finely worked gilt hands, the whole is protected by domed glass. Decorated at the top of a vase with a dove on a branch.

Rectangular marble base decorated at the ends with a row of pearls and a garland on the front.

Original mechanism, wire suspension, no hour and half hour chime
